The opening youth match in Letcombe's history resulted in a famous victory over Hendred by 14runs ( I think!).

Having been inserted against a rather tall looking Hendred side Letcombe posted a modest total of 139, and things looked rather bleak for the Letcombe fledglings when Hendred sped to 130 off only 4 overs.The whole outcome of the game turned on Letcombe taking wickets on a regular basis which resulted in the Hendred total going one step forward and two steps back.In the end 14 to win off the last over prooved too much for the last pair of batsmen and the new Letcombe youth era had started with a bang !!!
